Here's a possible problem somebody might encounter: if when invoking these "curl" examples an error message like this appears:

 

NSS error -5938 (PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR)

 

or if no output appears at all, then the problem could be that the version of the "curl" executable is too early. The cure is to update curl.
