Hello,

rseries tenants do not support v16 as far as I am aware. You have to go to v17.

Taking in mind that v16 is also EoSS I don't see any reason not to go to v17 anyway.

It’s absolutely fine to run different versions across tenants. Each tenant operates independently, so they can run separate versions without any issues.”
